Tuomas has always had a passion for woodworking and feels that working with wood is a journey and way of life. Using raw materials from certified, locally managed sustainable forests in Finland is a natural choice for him.
”Sustainability basically means taking responsibility of our surroundings, each other and the generations to come. The object is to use raw materials that can always be traced back to the local forests. The same thing also goes with coating the materials, using products that are environmentally friendly is key. It might not always be easy, but it’s a necessity”.
Tuomas is currently working with Meso Studio in developing a new range of sustainable furniture with a traditional rustic Finnish feel.
